Buyers just seem to be waking up to the strength in oil services.
Baffling, this Halliburton. Just baffling. Because there was nothing surprising about this company's numbers. They were terrific. We all knew they would be terrific. And the stock still went up huge. Same with Schlumberger. Was there anyone out there who didn't think that Schlumberger would be unbelievably good?
What's amazing to me is that these upside surprises were no better than -- actually, in some ways, not as good as -- the upside surprise of Caterpillar. Yet, buyers seem to just be waking up to the strength in the oil service sector.
