Frenzied investors may think Miller Petroleum sounds almost too good to check out -- until you do.
The email starts off so intriguing: "Any thoughts on MILL, Miller Petroleum? Not a lot of information out there but they appear to have put together an impressive conglomerate in the Appalachian Valley to tap natural gas reserves."
Ah, I think, let 's see, Appalachian Valley, that means that Aubrey McClendon from Chesapeake could be interested; he just bought some big properties there. Natural gas is there in abundance. There are pipelines coming in and out of Appalach, so you know Miller's gas won't be stranded.
Sounds almost too good to check out, doesn't it?
